Frequently Asked Questions

We use local anesthesia to completely numb the area, so you won't feel pain during the procedure. For patients with dental anxiety, we also offer sedation options including IV sedation to ensure a comfortable, stress-free experience.
Most patients heal within 1-2 weeks. Simple extractions typically recover faster, while surgical extractions may take a bit longer. We'll provide detailed aftercare instructions to help ensure smooth healing.
Stick to soft foods for the first 24-48 hours after your extraction. Avoid hot foods and drinks, and don't use a straw as the suction can dislodge the blood clot. Gradually return to your normal diet as you heal.
Some discomfort after extraction is normal and manageable with over-the-counter pain medication. We may also prescribe stronger medication for more complex procedures. Ice packs can help reduce swelling in the first 24 hours.
